Blue Jays Way over Chisox head.

9/1 - 9/2 - Rogers Center - Toronto, ON
GAME 1 - Blue Jays 9, White Sox 5

VWells Minus the 4 run 8th inning by the Chisox and you get the picture of just how dominant the Jays were in this one.  Vernon Wells hit his league leading 7th homer of the season and Shea Hillenbrand, Erick Hinske and Corey K9oskie all had 3 hits.  Wells had 3 RBI as did Koskie.  David Bush (1-0, 3.00) had only given up 1 run until the 8th when he tired and manager Ryan tried to stretch him.  Stan Bahnsen (1-2, 9.39) also gave up 4 runs, but his was spread out over the just 2 innings before he was lifted for Skip Pitlock who gave up 3 in just an inning.

GAME 2 - Blue Jays 7, White Sox 0
The onslaught continued as the Jays victimize Jim Kaat (2-3,aaron_hill_TOR 3.43) in this blowout affair.  Aaron Hill went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and his second homer of the year for the Jays.  All he needed was a double and he would have notched the cycle.  Pete Walker (2-1, 1.71) again continued to surprise with his stellar 6 inning / 0 run performance.  Justin Speier came on and got the rare 3 inning shutout save.

9/3 - Comiskey Park - Chicago, IL

GAME 3 – Blue Jays 7, White Sox 2
Chacin Different venue, same result.  Gustavo Chachin threw 7 shutout innings before manager Ryan went to the pen.  That move saved Chachin's arm, and allowed the Chisox to get 2 meaningless runs in the 9th.  The Jays were up 1-0, when they scored 5 in the 4th to virtually blow it open and assure a sweep.  Jose Rios led off with a double and moved to third when Jorge Orta booted a grounder.  Huckaby struck out for what should have been the second out of the inning.  A run scored on a balk and the innings hould have been over when Orlando Hudson grounded to short, but that was only  the second out.  Catalanotto walked and yesterday's hitting star Aaron Hill came through again with a 2 run double.  Hillenbrand and Wells followed with RBI singles and at that point youjohn_mcdonald_TOR could have stuck a fork in the Chisox, since they were done. Speaking of done, that is what Wilber Wood was before the 4th ended.  6 runs (3 unearned) did him in and finished him for the day. Shortstop John McDonald was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI as the Jays swept the Chisox and evened their season record at 9.
